- I grew up in a Minneapolis suburb. I went to school for Commercial Art And Design. I lived in the Seattle area for 8 years and fled to Hawaii seeking respite from the rain and seriously low pressure. Loving Hawaii and everything about Hawaii! It's very inspiring, sunny and happy. I love making jewelry. I love the process and enjoy putting colors and textures together with really healthy, good metals. What do I mean by 'healthy"? Well, I will only use Sterling silver, gold or brass that is LEAD_FREE and what I call "franken-metal" free. Pure stuff makes for feel-good jewelry. Natural stones are a given. I love them. I love working with people to come up with the designs they want. Some designers find taking custom orders are stifling their creativity. I find the opposite. I like doing something different and always learn something new. Its kind of like ordering a new menu item when your out at your old familiar hole in the wall.
